One-Click Technology for Identifying Health Metrics Developed by Belgian Medtech Start-Up

IntelliProve is a fast-growing platform that measures health parameters within a few seconds using artificial intelligence. The company is developing a computer technology capable of accurately determining health parameters based on an optical measurement of the face. Health parameters such as blood pressure, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen saturation are all accessible with just one click.

IntelliProve was founded in 2021 with the mission to save human lives by improving health monitoring. Headquartered in Gent, Belgium, the company was incorporated in 2021 and is currently in the product testing phase of its software solution, which will be made available to various health platforms via an API.

The technology measures health parameters based on optical measurements of the face. Patients can download the app and scan their patient identifier through their camera. It can detect the blood flow in the face using the camera on a mobile device and measures health parameters through innovative signal processing and machine learning techniques.

The technology works with a regular camera (smartphone, tablet, or PC), and it is also contactless, taking less than 30 seconds to complete. By using this high-tech optical technology, it gives healthcare providers an easy-to-use software tool to measure the vital signs of patients with one click on a smartphone.

IntelliProve aims to tackle healthcare industry issues, such as the workload problem that the medical sector faces and long waiting periods due to inefficient staffing. Both of these issues can result in psychological distress and burnout for healthcare workers. The company believes that its technology can help tackle these issues through video-based monitoring. They recently launched a product to empower mental health solutions with quantitative biomarker data. It measures mental health through face analysis without the need for any specialised medical hardware. It is available as API software and can be integrated into any mental healthcare app or platform.

The company has raised €1 million in investment from various investors recently. Commenting on this investment, Joeri Tulkens, CEO of IntelliProve, said, “this capital injection and trust from our investors shows the importance of our health monitoring solution, which increases the quality and engagement of patient-centred digital healthcare solutions.”
